A strong moral foundation in a Christian environment instills in children a desire to serve the neighbor and their community.

"I love the innocent sphere of WNCS. As we go about our daily work, I see so much kindness. It's apparent in the hard work the teachers do and the good values they instill. It's apparent in the students' eagerness to be useful and the smiles they share with one another. What are parents saying? (from online reviews)
"This is my home school and foundation school for my boys, where exceptional teachers inspire kindness and growth. Your child will receive a solid Christian foundation, surrounded by love and nurturing."
"Small class sizes, caring staff, awesome teachers, family-oriented and affordable. My son has excelled in high school due to the fundamentals he gained here. WNCS is a hidden gem among private schools in PG Co."
"My three kids have all gone to Washington New Church School, and it's been wonderful for them in so many ways. Academics are rigorous and challenging. My kids are academically inclined, but with the small class sizes, their teachers have always made sure to keep them engaged with material that stretches them. Writing workshop, and the tailored math curriculum come to mind. The art and music are likewise wonderful, and I've been amazed at what the children in the school produce. But it's the approach to Christian education that sets this school apart. As the children grow, they're given a strong foundation of knowledge in the Old and New Testaments. As they become older, their teachers ask them questions and spark discussions, but do not cram answers to life's big questions down the children's throats. I think the teachers understand that as a person grows, their faith journey is ultimately between them and God. Teachers can assist, but not mediate in that relationship, and the thoughtful, engaged humbleness of the teaching staff really shines here. You'll find warmth, lively discussions, and a practical focus on what it means to live a wise and loving Christian life."
"Five of the six kids in our blended family have attended The Washington New Church School. This June our youngest will graduate out. In the twenty-four years that we have been using the school we have watched it grow - always a great academic education with a rich arts program, and a dedicated faculty, it has become increasingly connected to its community and culturally diverse (something I value tremendously). It has kept pace with new standards for safety and security and professionalism.... If you are looking for an educational experience for your children where academic subjects and the Bible are not at loggerheads but work in accord, where teachers care about every student "getting it", and the Iowa test scores are off the charts, then you owe it to yourself to check this school out."
