Hear Them in Action!

“The Lord is My Light”

A quartet of 2nd - 5th graders practice their song for chapel:

Miss Ariel leads the 1st and 2nd graders in partner songs: can you hear both songs? ("She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain," and "O When the Saints")

Every child can sing if given confidence, instruction, and practice! Singing cultivates community, releases stress, inspires confidence, and exposes people to many different cultures through affection. Most importantly, we sing to the Lord in worship to express joy, humility, and praise!

Besides contributing to Sunday church, our students provide all the music for Monday and Friday chapels. An older student plays hymns on the piano, and students of all ages are invited to contribute special music. This is an important way for them to provide a use to their community, take ownership of their worship, and get comfortable in leadership positions. 5th-8th grade students also get opportunities to volunteer for solos in the choir.
