Our High School Students Help Local Gardener

Within walking distance of the WNCS campus is Forested, LLC. a local educational garden promoting forest gardening, a type of permaculture.

Our classes regularly walk to the forest garden for some hand-on instruction.  This instruction can be on plants, insects, soil or the environment in general giving the students real-life experience to infill some of their science units.

Recently our high school students were helping the Forested owner prepare for one of his garden feasts by harvesting some wild mushrooms! Yum!
